Posted by on Apr 22, 2013 in Blessing, Faith, Featured, Grace, Love, Power, Relationships, Theology | 6 comments

We’ve all felt like the Ugly Duckling at some point in our lives. We look around at everyone else, and we conclude that we’re worthless. Absolutely worthless.

But God didn’t create you or me, to feel like that. He didn’t create you and me to be the Ugly Duckling. No. He has a much better plan for our lives than that.

Christmas – Cancel or Celebrate?

Posted by on Dec 17, 2012 in Christmas, Featured, Jesus, Theology | 26 comments

Ever felt like cancelling Christmas?

Batman Movie – Who Would Have Thought?

Posted by on Jul 23, 2012 in Blessing, Community, Suffering, Theology | 23 comments

You expect a bit of death and carnage when you go to see a Batman movie – but on the screen, not in the seats and on the floor of the cinema.  Who would ever have thought – these people were on a great night out. 12 murdered. Some 60 injured. Lives lost. Families torn apart. Grieving fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, children …

Why Jesus was Baptised & Why it Matters

Posted by on May 29, 2012 in Forgiveness, Jesus, Theology, Victory | 15 comments

Okay – so have you ever wondered why Jesus was baptised? A perfect Jesus who has never sinned, who then submits to John the Baptist’s baptism of repentance.

At first, it doesn’t make sense … that is until we realise that God is saying something really, really important to us through this one, powerful act of submission by the Son of God.
